Hi! My name is Jamie Johnson, and I am honored to serve as the Principal of North Buncombe Middle School. I am a born and bred Blackhawk who once walked these same halls. I have a heart for kids and strive to create an environment that allows students to feel successful in our school.

I have four children ranging in ages from 4 to 19! My oldest son, JT, is a sophomore at Emory Oxford and my oldest daughter, Pressley, is a senior. My two babies, Braedyn (6) and Sylvia (4) are future Blackhawks as well. My husband, Brad, is a Principal in Asheville City Schools and when not at school, we spend most of our time on the sidelines of ballgames, camping, and chasing children.

I am dedicated to growing our school academically and ensuring that all students are surrounded by adults who truly care about them.

The 2021-22 school year is off to a great start, and I couldn’t be prouder to be a Blackhawk!

Greetings Blackhawks!

I am thrilled to be a part of the North Buncombe community! I am a product of Buncombe County Schools (Erwin 2005) and have resided in Alexander my entire life. My wife, Tiffany and I have two children Holden (10) and Neely (7) that attend schools in the North Buncombe district. We are very excited to join the family at NBMS and look forward to serving this community.

Go Blackhawks!
