At North Buncombe Middle School (NBMS), love is rolling on wheels this month - one clean bus at a time.
In honor of Love the Bus Month, a group of student volunteers stepped up to give back to the drivers who carry them safely to and from school each day. Armed with brooms, paper towels, and plenty of school spirit, students spent time sweeping the floors, wiping down seats, and polishing the windows of several school buses.

The effort wasn’t just about making the buses shine - it was about showing appreciation.
Students worked side by side, carefully collecting dirt from the floors and making sure every window was clear and every seat was tidy. Laughter and teamwork filled the bus lot as they took pride in a job well done, knowing their work would make a difference for the drivers and classmates who ride those buses daily.

Their act of service highlighted an important lesson: small gestures have a big impact. By giving their time and energy, these NBMS students helped create a cleaner, more welcoming space while also sending a heartfelt message of gratitude to the transportation staff who go the extra mile.
Love the Bus Month is a time to recognize the dedication of school bus drivers and transportation teams, and thanks to these student volunteers, that appreciation was shown in the most hands-on way possible.
