Ms. Burnette's significant other, Darrell spoke to first grade the week before Veteran's Day to share is experiences when he served our great Nation. After Darrell spoke to the first grades about veterans and we made cards, the response from the veterans at the VA was so heartwarming, our first grades decided to do even more! Here are trees each class decorated themselves! Darrell and I delivered them to the VA today for the volunteers to hand out. Candler Elementary has a huge heart and I am so proud to be part of it!! Thanks to all the fabulous first grades!!!
