Home of the Warriors

Clyde A. Erwin Middle School has 539 seventh and eighth-grade students from all over the world. Students are scheduled on six core teams, each named after a different North Carolina college. We are Ready, Responsible, and Respectful because that's the Warrior Way.

Our school is located off Leicester Highway in Asheville, North Carolina.  The school is housed in the building that was originally Clyde A. Erwin High School which was built in 1955.  The name was given in recognition of Clyde A. Erwin who was a state board of education member and North Carolina state superintendent of public instruction from 1934 – 1952.
