🎃🚗🍬 The ghouls and goblins came out to feast on sweet treats at a festive Trunk or Treat at Clyde A. Erwin High School before the Friday night football game against T.C. Roberson last week.
Erwin’s Student Government Association (SGA) hosted the annual event in one of the school’s parking lots. Dozens of decorated trunks offered candy and creative themes like The Magic School Bus and The Farm Truck. Students from FFA, the English Department, Teacher Cadets, and other organizations joined local businesses and the West Buncombe Fire Department to provide a fun, safe Halloween celebration for families. Highlights included Teacher Cadets’ Magic School Bus and a guinea pig named Mocha dressed as a hot dog 🌭🐹 and stealing the show.
“Students love getting to interact with the kids in the community, coming up with ideas for their trunks, and taking responsibility for organizing and handing out the candy,” said horticulture teacher Jessica Holt.
“It’s really good for the kids and fun for us too,” added senior SGA officer and FFA member Hannah Pike. “Everyone comes together, dresses up, and just has a great time.”
