Salkin, Erin - Social Studies

Welcome to 7th Grade Social Studies!

Hello!  My name is Erin Salkin and I am excited to be teaching Social Studies on the Weaver Team again this year.

My family and I have lived in Weaverville for 13 years but prior to that I consider myself very lucky to lived all around the United States, Europe and the Middle East.

I received my Undergraduate Degree in Sociology/Anthropology from Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon and I obtained my NC Teachers License (6-12 Social Studies) with Honors from UNC-Asheville.

In my spare time I can be found on the sidelines of my sons' baseball games (usually with a non-fiction history book in my lap!), taking road-trips (and stopping at all the historical sites along the way!) and generally enjoying all the food, scenery, music and community events that WNC has to offer!
