Important announcement for students and parents about virtual school days beginning this week. March 18th, 2020.
Hello all,

First, let me say this will be a learning process for all of us as the pandemic has caused unprecedented disruption in our everyday lives. Be kind to each other. And know that I also am learning something new and trying to get accustomed to a new way of doing things.

I will have all assignments posted by 9:00 am every work day. However, as some assignments may take longer than one day to complete, I may not post a new assignment everyday. I will let you know when there is not a new assignment. We will be working through announcements in Canvas and students will be submitting through email. Later, it is possible that I will ask you to submit through Canvas Assignments, but not right now.

If teachers are no longer allowed to work from school and so must work from home I will have office hours. Office hours means students and parents may reach me through my Buncombe County Schools email . During certain hours Monday through Friday. I will be available for office hours from 9:00am to 11:00 am and then available again from 1:00pm to 3:00pm Monday through Friday. You are more than welcome to email me during these hours for questions about assignments. Please note, I may need to change my office hours for various reasons. If I do, I will post alternate office hours to be available to you.

I hope you all will take care of each other and practice being good human beings during this time of rapid social change. History tells us these are the times when we find out who we are as a nation and are as individuals. History also tells us this too shall pass and so we must learn lessons now for the next time something like this comes around.
