Battle

of the Books

Battle

of the Books

Battle of the Books is a book competition club where students read, re-read, and discuss literature from a list of books from the North Carolina School Media Association.

In the Spring, the Owen Middle team competes against other schools in Buncombe County to answer questions about the books. The winners of the County competition can move on to Regionals or even State!

This club is open to Owen Middle students in all grades (6th through 8th) and will meet regularly on Tuesdays from 3 to 4pm.

The sponsors are Mrs. Alicia Rogers and Ms. Bridgit McCarthy.
