NBMS 1:1 Best Practices

NBMS 1:1 Policies and Procedures

  • Students are required to have a signed user agreement on file.
    • Homeroom teachers are responsible for ensuring each student has a signed form on file. Homeroom teachers are expected to maintain this file  should the administration team requires verification of parent signature in the event of a device being broken, etc..
  • Students with a signed user agreement may take devices home.
    • If parents have indicated student may not take device home, students are responsible for storing device in locker with door shut and locked.

  • Students are responsible for care and proper use of device at all times. It is the student’s responsibility to notify homeroom teacher and library staff of problems ASAP.
    • Students are advised but not required to use a laptop sleeve whenever they are transporting device outside of a classroom (class changes, traveling to the library, arriving/departing school, etc). Laptop sleeves may be purchased in the library for $5.

  • When students transfer to another school:
    • Student should return device and charger to library as part of the exit process.  Devices are then re-imaged for new student use.
    • Students who transfer without turning in device may be prosecuted.
